App of the Day

What it is

App of the Day is a featured slot on the Explore tab of every user's dashboard. One app is showcased there each day with its icon, tagline, and a one-click Connect button. It is the most visible placement in the ecosystem. Selection is merit-based and cannot be bought.

How the selection works

Every day one app is chosen automatically. The process:

1. Eligibility. The pool is built from apps that are listed in the Explore store and active. Unlisted or deactivated apps are never considered.
2. Merit threshold. From that pool, apps qualify when their net vote score (upvotes minus downvotes from users) is 3 or higher.
3. Daily rotation. Among qualified apps, the day's date deterministically picks one. Every user sees the same App of the Day, and the pick rotates daily so no app can hold the slot indefinitely.
4. Fallback. If no app currently meets the threshold, the rotation runs over all listed apps instead, so the slot is never empty.

How votes work

Users can upvote or downvote any app in the Explore store. Each user gets one vote per app and can change it at any time. Your net score is simply upvotes minus downvotes.

Improving your chances

• Get listed. Only apps you have published to the Explore store are eligible. Drafts and unlisted apps never appear.
• Stay active. A deactivated app drops out of the pool immediately, even with a strong score.
• Earn genuine upvotes. A complete listing converts better. A clear tagline, a real icon, an honest description, and a fair rate all make users more likely to connect. Connected, satisfied users are the ones who vote.
• Keep your score above the threshold. The bar is a net score of 3, so a handful of downvotes can disqualify an otherwise popular app. Quality and reliability protect your score.

What selection does not depend on

• Payment or ads: the slot cannot be purchased.
• Rate: cheap or expensive, only votes matter.
• Registration date: old and new apps compete equally once listed.
• Manual curation: no one at Cladior hand-picks the feature.
