Getting started with Cladior
Overview
One account for every app that has Cladior built in. You pay Cladior for what you actually read, by the kilobyte. No repeated card forms. No new accounts. No subscriptions.
What this actually means
Today, every site that charges you wants its own account and its own copy of your card details. You end up with subscriptions you forgot about and card numbers spread across the internet.
With Cladior you buy credit once, from us. When you use an app, it costs the small amount that use was worth and nothing more. No subscription, no card form, no new password. If you stop using an app, it stops costing you.
You buy from Cladior, and Cladior pays the apps you read. So your statement shows one name you recognise instead of a line for every site you visited, and the apps themselves never see your card.
Common questions
- Do apps see my card details?
- No. You buy credit from Cladior, and apps only ever see that you have credit. They never receive your card.
- What happens when my credit runs out?
- Apps stop working until you buy more. If you would rather that never happened, turn on automatic renewal in Settings and Cladior buys the next block from your saved card before you run out. It is off until you do.
- So you keep my card on file?
- Your first purchase saves it, so renewal is possible later if you want it. Nothing is charged to it unless you switch renewal on yourself, and you can switch it off or remove the card at any time.
- Can an app charge whatever it wants?
- It charges the rate you agreed to when you connected, shown on screen before you approve. Changing that rate means asking you again.
- Can I stop an app?
- Yes. Revoke the app from your dashboard at any time and it can no longer charge you.
- Is leftover credit lost?
- No. It stays on your account and works on any other app that uses Cladior.
Create your account
Go to www.cladior.com
Open cladior.com. Enter an email address and a password to create your account.
Your dashboard opens
You land on your Cladior dashboard with $0.00 of credit. You can explore everything before buying any.
Buy your first credit
Complete the Stripe payment flow with a debit or credit card, including your bank's verification step. Your credit is available the moment the payment confirms.
That first payment also saves your card, so you have the option of automatic renewal later. It is off until you turn it on in Settings → Credit renewal, and nothing is charged to the saved card before then.
Connect your first app
When you visit a site that has Cladior built in, it will show a consent screen. The screen shows the site name, what data it wants to read, and the per-KB rate it charges. Accept to connect. Your credit is now live for that app.
