Connected apps
Overview
Every app you have connected is listed in your dashboard. You decide who gets in, at what rate, and you can cut access at any time.
What an app can and cannot do
Connecting an app is not handing over your account. A connected app can:
- Draw on your credit, at the rate you saw and approved, for requests you make.
- Read only what you explicitly approved on the consent screen: a stable anonymous ID, your profile photo, your theme preference. Most apps ask for very little.
It cannot:
- See your card details. Cladior never holds them in full, so there is nothing to pass on.
- See your credit balance or your transaction history.
- See your password, or sign in as you anywhere else.
- Charge you a different rate without asking you again. The rate is fixed at the moment you connect, so a developer raising their price affects only people connecting afterwards.
- Keep charging after you revoke it.
- See what you do in any other app.
Revoking is immediate and needs no explanation to the developer. If you reconnect later, you approve it again from scratch.
Connecting a new app
The first time you open a paid page on a site that uses Cladior, it sends you to the Cladior consent screen. The screen shows:
- The app name and domain
- The rate the app charges per KB of data
- Any identity scopes the app is requesting (avatar, theme)
Review all three before accepting. Click Authorise to connect, or close the window to decline. You do not need to be logged in to Cladior before visiting the app. If you are not signed in, the consent screen will prompt you to sign in first.
Reviewing connected apps
Go to the Connected Sites tab in your Cladior dashboard. Each row shows:
- App name and domain
- The rate per KB you agreed to
- Which identity scopes are active (if any)
You can also filter and sort the list by connection date or rate.
Revoking access
Click Revoke next to any app to immediately remove its access. The app can no longer charge you. Any tokens the app holds become invalid instantly.
You can reconnect the app at any time by visiting it again and accepting a new consent screen. Note that reconnecting starts a fresh session. The new connection will use the app's current rate at that time, which may differ from the original.
Revoking individual permissions
If an app has identity scopes (avatar, theme), you can remove individual scopes without revoking the entire connection. Click the scope chip next to the app and confirm. The scope is removed immediately. Billing access is unaffected.
Reporting an app
If an app is behaving unexpectedly, click Report next to it and describe what you observed. Our team reviews all reports within 24 hours. Reporting does not revoke access. If you want to stop charges immediately, click Revoke first.
